I systematically re-enabled all the services and start-ups as suggested but was unable to reproduce the problem to identify what caused it. Disabling Start Up and Services resolved my issues and I haven't had a crash since, but I was unable to identify what caused the problem in the first place. It advises disabling any start-up applications or services that could be causing a conflict with the game itself.
